A bottle of Brunello Villa Le Prata
it is the place where the grape finally finds its home.
It is produced in different vineyards with altitudes ranging from 210 to 510 metres above sea level.
Vinified in steel tanks for approx. twenty days, it undergoes a maturing period in French tonneaux of 5 hl and 7 hl and in Slavonian oak barrels of 30 hl. It rests for a minimum of five months in the bottle before being tasted.
Extending for barely a hectare (2,47 acres), this is the highest of our vineyards at 507 meters above sea level. It was planted in 1988 with old clones of Sangiovese.
This high elevation vineyard is 495 meters above sea level. It is sloping and faces South/South West. Extending just 5.000m2 (1.2 acres), it was planted in 1998 using an old clone of Sangiovese grafted onto indigenous Vitis vinifera sylvestris.
The "Massimo" is the selection of the best wine of the company, produced only in great vintages and in a very limited number of bottles.
Born from the desire to remember Prof. Massimo Losappio and to gather in a single bottle the most authentic atmosphere of the Montalcino area.
It is the youngest and freshest expression of Sangiovese scents.

Villa Le Prata is home to three hundred noble olive trees,
from which it extracts a precious spicy oil every year.
